When most of us think of mold, we typically expect it to be clearly visible — but that’s not always the case. Mold can develop in areas of a property that are out of sight, hidden within the walls or ceiling.  It can cause severe damage to your property.  If untreated, it can cause up to tens of thousands of dollars in damages. Mold “Swab” Testing: Swabs are an easy way to sample suspect areas for mold contamination. Surface testing takes samples from household surfaces to find the amount of mold growth and spores deposited around the home. Samples are collected by swabbing. The sample is then examined in a laboratory.

Air “Spore Trap” Testing: Air samples can be used to gather data about mold spores present in the interior of a house. These samples are taken by using a pump that forces air through a collection device which catches mold spores. The sample is then sent off to a laboratory to be analyzed.
